It is developed a long-awaited safety product for use in dangerous and demanding
environments.
The Inflatable Body Armour System - (IBAS).
Using the same
principle as our other life-saving products, this is the latest concept to be
developed.
Defence agencies around the world had tried unsuccessfully over the
last few years to develop a range of inflatable body armour.
Design features
body armour that can withstand multiple hits from a machine gun or AK47 and
yet
still function as an automatically inflating life jacket, should the wearer fall
into water.
The jacket will also withstand shrapnel and grenade attacks, whilst
protecting the wearer.
Government, law enforcement and military agencies
worldwide have expressed a great deal of interest.
If you fall into water, the life
jacket will inflate AUTOMATICALLY within 5 seconds.
If you should be unfortunate enough to hit your head and are knocked
unconscious,
the jacket is specially designed to turn you over onto your back,
even in 3ft waves, therefore keeping your face clear of the water.
The system works like this:
A water sensitive component within the firing head
activates a high pressure spring to pierce a CO2 cylinder and subsequently
inflates the life jacket very quickly.
THE UNIT WILL NOT INFLATE IN A RAIN SHOWER, OR IF YOU ARE ON THE DECK OF A BOAT
AND IN WATER SPRAY.
The automatic inflation unit is fully CE approved and has been manufactured and
tested to the highest international safety standards.
Once it has been activated, the jacket can easily be re-armed for future use by
buying one of the re-arming kits.
IBAS ® is a unique, versatile and practical jacket incorporating a life jacket
with the added ability to contain both soft and hard armour,
to protect the life jacket and wearer from bullet and fragmentation attack.
The jacket is a patented design, developed in conjunction with the British
Government SMART Award programme.
It gives considerable extra comfort and flexibility in comparison to traditional
life jackets that are often considered bulky and unduly restrictive.

"TAAIV" Tactical Aircrew Armoured Inflatable Vest
A versatile and practical vest incorporating an inflatable life jacket with the
ability to contain softor hard armour to protect the life jackets
and the wearer from bullet and other fragmentation attacks.
The jacket gives considerable extra comfort and flexibility in comparison to
traditional life jackets that are often considered bulky and
unduly restrictive for both pilot, aircrew or passengers.
The jacket offers enhanced protection for escape and evasion by allowing the
life jacket to be inflated and deflated at will to allow water crossing.
